DEFENDER COMMERCIAL BRACKISH WATER RO SYSTEM BY US WATER SYSTEMS | 2,000 TO 8,000 GPD

Defender HD Logo

COMMERCIAL BRACKISH WATER RO SYSTEM

Designed to be sustainable and economical, the DEFENDER HD is a commercial grade RO system that is built to last! It comes standard with a two-year warranty* because we believe in the high-grade heavy duty commercial parts we put into it. You will quickly see that this RO system beats the competition hands down. Plus, it is made in the USA.

DEFENDER HD is for applications where the TDS is too high for a regular tap water reverse osmosis membrane typically over 2,000 TDS, and it's designed to handle water with high sodium, chloride, and sulfates.

Brackish water refers to a water source that has more salt than freshwater but not as much as seawater. The level of salt will vary depending on environmental factors and cannot be precisely defined. If you are not sure whether you need a DEFENDER HD system, contact one of our Water Specialists at 800-608-8792.

Permeate Flush

Permeate Flush is standard for our RO systems that can provide a membrane flush directly after shutdown. Permeate means “Product Water”, therefore we call this system Permeate Flush since it is using the product water to flush the membranes after shutdown. This is extremely effective when taking membrane life into consideration. If dissolved solids from the feed water are elevated this critically impacts the membrane’s life. This may not always be from the total dissolved solids (TDS).

Other cases have a particular element such as silica. When this is elevated our permeate flush is used to release it from the membrane after shutdown. If concentrated solids are left in the membrane housing after shutdown they can fall out of solution. When this happens, the solids remain in the membrane housing until the RO system starts up again. This then causes them to be pushed into the membrane instead of being flushed out as they would be during normal operation. These solids then build up inside the membrane reducing the lifespan and possibly causing damage.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

A Green Solution

  • Our Defender RO is up to 65% efficient
  • Commercial Pump and Motor

  • At the heart of the DEFENDER HD is a true commercial centrifugal pump. Compared to rotary vane and diaphragm pumps which offer no longevity. In fact, they frequently must be replaced every six months or so, and our centrifugal pump does not.
  • Panel-Mount

  • Flow Meters and pressure gauges with 316 stainless steel needle valves for precise control of production and wastewater
  • 5-Micron Magna Pre-Filter

  • With 36 square feet of media for long life
  • Fiberglass Membrane Housing

  • These housings provide the best longevity with ease of replacement
  • Highest Rejection Rates

  • Up to 99% rejection
  • Defender Controller with TDS Meter

  • Enables you to continuously monitor water quality
  • Best Warranty in the Business

  • Two years on the system (does not include consumables such as membranes and filters)

    Diaphragm Pump

Very light duty pump for intermittent applications. Maybe something you would apply to an under-sink RO

A red prohibition symbol over a pump highlights sustainability, echoing the eco-friendly ethos of the Defender Commercial RO System by US Water Systems Inc (2000 - 16000 GPD).

    Rotary Vane Pump

Light duty pump for small RO systems where continual operation is not critical, not for heavy duty operations

    Multistage Centrifugal Pump

Engineered to operate continuously for long periods of time. A True Commercial Pump that you can count on
